confused about pollen counts

i'm very allergic to ragweed, but the pollen counts are only reporting moderate levels of It. i am experiencing a fair amount of sinus pressure, Ear pain and scratchiness in the throat.

is it normal to still feel cruddy when the pollen levels are only moderate??
 
Yes...you are very allergic to it so any level/exposure should cause an issue unless you are on an antihistamine or on injections.
 
i do both so that's why i'm a little concerned

however, tuesday i went to the doctor and she said i was starting with a sinus Infection. does it sound like the antibiotic is not working? i can't tell if it's my allergies or need a stronger antibiotic. she gave me spetra RAB b/c i have never been on it.
 
It can take a couple of weeks to get rid a of sinus infection - or even more. Stay on your antibiotics and flush with saline daily. Sinus infections are not predicated on allergic reactions. Plenty of people without allergies get them and lots of people with allergies don't get them.
