Okay, here's my situation: I attended a local community college for two years straight out of high school (ACT score was 28), then stopped after completing the second year (big mistake, I know). That was 2007.
Now I've completed a re-admittance form for the fall semester of 2009 (hoping to finally transfer to university next year), and just today I received some papers. One of them contained instructions for taking the COMPASS test. Another listed my remaining requirements as "Application Fee" and "COMPASS Placement Testing."
Now, when I re-applied, I was told I didn't have to pay a fee for application for readmission. And reading further down the paper, it seems I may or may not be required to take the COMPASS Test. I'll definitely be going to the local campus to ask about this, but it's too late to do so right now, and I'm just confused at the moment . . .
I realize I've been out for 2 years and am currently 21, but I've already taken Comp I and Comp II and English Lit, Biology I and II, Algebra I and II and Probs and Stats, along with other miscellaneous classes like Spanish I and II, several Psychology courses, etc. I made an A in each class aside from the math courses, in which I received a B each time. How would taking the COMPASS test even affect me at this point?
