CONFUSED ABOUT CELLPHONE BATTERYS HELP!?!? 10 POINTS?

i needed a new cellphone battery.so i went online and i purchased a BK61 Motorola battery.but when i got it , it was a BT61 Motorola battery.then i went on there website and realized the dead battery i have SNN number is not the same as the SNN number on the BK61's battery on the website.do SNN numbers matter or will the battery work being a BK61???? ugh please help
