CONFIRMED: Cricket Service-Wide Issues with MMS on the East Coast!

I just called technical support and two technicians confirmed that there have been problems with MMS on the East Coast recently.

Meanwhile, I was told that my incidents with Picture Messaging on my UTStarcom xv6700 will be submitted to another tier of technical support and that I should expect a call back after Cricket engineers have had a chance to research the problem--which I find highly dubious at best.

I have this feeling that I will never get a call back today and that I will have to be the one to call them and re-explain myself all over again.

But until then, the ball is in Cricket's court...

*EDIT: By the way, I let them know I had a non-Cricket-branded hanRABet and which model I was using, and I assured them that both WAP and MMS were both working perfectly, and that WAP continues to work without incident.

Tell me what settings you want... In my programming menu I see

ESN (no help)
Nam 1 info
NAM2 Info (says unavailable)
SMS settings
Rental Timer
Phone Model (just info)
Slot Cycle Index
Service Sec. Code
Brew Confic

I don't see anything for WAP or SMS.... I surfed through the menus, and didn't see anything with passworRAB, gateway or IP info, etc.

Tell me where to go and I'll post what you want.

Did you get into settings with your SPC/Subsidy Code/Secondary Sublot Code, or did you use all zeroes? because if you use all zeros, you won't be able to get all the settings.

You have to use your SPC/Subsidy Code/Secondary Sublot Code when entering programming for this to work.

Also, do you have a data cable and a copy of QPST? That would be the best way to read information from your phone.

Like I said before, however--I think we have the WAP settings and the ArcSoft settings right. I just think there is some other setting or something on Cricket's side gumming-up the works...

Well I can almps guarantee you its not your phones .. because I got a cricket nokia phone and on a good day pic messaging will work.. If not it will reach to 95% and say pic message failed.. It will only work when I send it over and over for around 8 times... eh I still love unlimited everything thi.. haha. cricket wannabe wap sucks too.. they havent opened it up yet..

Mine rarely fail, but it frustrates me that it takes 5 minutes to send a pic message, when my g/f can send from verizon in about 15 seconRAB.

Well YOU ARE RIGHT! It's up and working again--proving that my settings are correct for both the phone and the MMS app (read further in this thread: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1102224 )

Aside from this, back when I had my KOI, I would have to call Cricket every couple months or so to reset my Picture Messaging feature.

Well, at least now we have significant evidence that it's on the Service Provider's end...

I am in Arizona. Almost everyday we get MMS complaints from Cricket customers. It is an issue in their network. I know local employees that do not guarantee MMS will work all of the time even if the phone was bought new directly from Cricket.

im going to try this again to see if mine works now....as soon as i get home i will try it and see if it works

only sucess i had yesturday was:

pic txt from 6700 to native cricket: Failure
pic txt from native cricket to 6700: works but cannot see pic

update:

i was able last night to send a pic message succesfully....i even recived a video too.....

1 hour later, i couldnt do anything....

it has to be the cricket system....called up cricket and they said they are still fixing wap and mms problems.....who knows, time will tell....
