Confessions of a Shopaholic

have read all the shopaholic books about 7 times really love them so was worried the film would annoy me.

just seen it and loved it.

if you are a big fan of the books you have to have an open mind as its very different. but still the essence of the character is there isla made a good becky bloomwood.

really funny film and everyone clapped and cheered at the end.

i didnt like that they had changed a lot from the book :(
and also, the book is partly about the struggle she has trying to fit in with american life after moving from england, and how can they do this if she's american!
kinda ruined it, but it was still good!

Still havn't seen the movie, can't wait too though (think i am arranging it with frienRAB atm).

Recieved book #2 (abroad) today, will be starting that later. Can't wait, best kinda reaRAB.

I read the book years ago, watched the film and thought it was a lot different from the book.

I thought the film was crap but liked the book, but I may have grown up loaRAB since then, or have a bad memory of how good the book was :o

The only thing that i can't understand is is the reason for it being a US movie. The book is so British! It has mentions of Tiffany Mitchell from Eastenders in it, EE itself, as well as Oxford street, Hyde Park, London in general. In book #1 she basically talks about london throughout, due to her job etc.

So i reckon the movie has big changes to compete with. I still want to see it though, i really like Isla Fisher.

Aww thats why I liked the book more the London thing ;) it was so many years ago that I read it.

I like Isla Fisher too but found her quite annoying in this film, but thats only the part she is playing.
