...grads in US? i've told in US universities grades are the most important issue about winning a fellowship. i have second thoughts about US cause everybody say that i should try europe especially England.
now im asking for prestigious schools like ivy league (its a little girl's dream and im not a dreamer type anymore ) im curious about what are the specialties that they searching for?

i must admit that im anything but a nerd. the magical number is 3.66 for right now( its my third year ).

i've looked for a sport fellowship but i haven't seen anything about jujutsu

1. I'm unclear as to what your age is here? Are you in your third year of high school or your BA/BS studies? Grades are very important in the USA. 3.66 looks good, very well done!

2. Your ability to read, speak and write English properly is very important. Doctoral and post-doctoral candidates do a LOT of publishing in scientific journals and books/Anthologies. Most Western journals are published in English. I noticed several grammar and spelling mistakes in your question, that is one reason I'm mentioning this.

3. Make sure you write a splendid Senior year thesis and Master Thesis in your field of study. Try to get it published. Also attend Workshops, seminars, conferences where you can submit papers and do short presentations! You need to get accepted into a doctoral program and do all of the above. Post-doctors usually do short-term research, usually 2 year contracts. They have to publish and present their results. You need to know how to communicate your ideas effectively.

4. The rules are similar in both Europe and the USA/Canada. It really helps if you get a professor as a mentor who will take you under her wing and help you. Many times it is also WHO you know, in addition to WHAT you know. You have to be socially aware as well as academically aware. People help nice people.

Good luck!
