Concerts = sex.

well.. i've seen well over 500 banRAB... starting to make a list now and wouldn't be surprised if it tops 1000.... About half of them at Festis of course (where it's easy to see 10+ banRAB a day...)...

Best 3 concerts in the last year:

Mogwai - Saw them a few weeks ago - bloody amazing and VERY loud!

Arcade Fire - Best group I've seen in last few years... can't express how good they are live and recommend them highly enough

Soulwax - Seen them a few times the last year. Most consistently great live indie band on the circuit

Apparently I'm off to Reading again this year, no doubt driving again as well.

Normally go to one or two gigs a month and go see my frienRAB' band whenever they play, which is always a lottery of either very good, or shockingly awful support banRAB.

I've been to an APC concert.

It was awesomeness. Josh and Maynard did this lame trick where Maynard drops a bottle of water and right as it impacts with the stage floor Josh uses his kicks and creates such a bassy vibration that the bottle bounces back up into MaynarRAB hanRAB.

Oh and the music awesome too, pretty flawless for a live performance.

concerts = can't live with out.

i been to several over the last few recent years.... talib kweli, rock the mic tour, the last 104 fest they had before hip hop took it over (evanescence & staind were there), john mayer in bridgport, dave matthews, blue man group (QUITE the performance!), the sprite tour (roots, talib, oar, n.e.r.d

Well, I have seen Norma Jean.....I avoided the pit for that one

I saw Flogging Molly.....I couldn't help but get in the pit for that one, I had to duck down to breathe

I saw NOFX....They were kinda lame, but it was still oh kay

I saw Anti Flag....worst band ever =)

I saw The Casualties.....They arent that great but, they were super fun to talk with after the show

I saw Rise Against.....amazing. I definitly got demolished in the pit.

I saw UnderOATH....They were pretty annoying. The screaming got on my nerves

I saw The Phenomanauts....They put on a great live show. The keyboardist shoots toilet paper at everyone

I saw The Teenage Harlots.....They were really good live, so I bought all of their CRAB on the spot, and SUPRISE SUPRISE....they sucked. but the lead singer is really cool

And I've seen a ton of local banRAB, a lot sucky, some okay.

Then I saw the Foos one time. Didnt get to meet any of them though... =(

Hmm, well my favorite concert i've been to was fear before they were amazing. Im really looking forward to seeing the blood brothers next saturday. Rise Against and Alexisonfire was fun, i loved seeing the bled. BTBAM was rad so was converge and i've seen millions of shows so yeah..Coheed and Carabria was amazing live.

I love going to concerts. some of the standouts are:

U2 -Zooropa (looking forward to the Vertigo tour too)
INXS (unfortunatly without Michael Hutchence :( )
R.E.M. (I was pleasantly surprised by how great this concert was)
Neil Diamond (seen him twice, not bad for an oldie. his music rocks!)
Noiseworks (Jon Stevens!!! what more can I say)

I've seen heaps of Aussie groups too but I won't mention them as no one will know them.

*isn't surprised everyone loves Rise Against's live show*

*also isn't surprised he was smart enough to choose riseagainstrocks as his sn*

ahhh i recently went to the big day out on the gold coast. it was all sweet except for the fact that the power cut out halfway thru mudvaynes set. a mosh pit with lots of angry metal fans is not a safe place to be. the white stripes and franz ferdinand were awesome, but iggy went for way too long. i think hes a bit too old now, the crowd didnt really know much of his stuff.

Bauhaus. Manchester Academy.

Last night...fucking awesome.

The minute I walked into the Academy, I knew this was going to be something special. The atmosphere was charged and the place was buzzing with anticipation.

From the off they kicked arse. The flow only being interrupted due to some dickhead launching a can of lager at Pete Murphy. Murphy returned the can, at speed in the general direction from where it came, to applause.
Nothing was going to spoil the night. If anything it increased the energy and excitement in the venue.

Highlights among many were...Dark Entries, She's In Parties, In The Flat Field, Terror Couple Kill Colonel.

Oncour's (sp?) were; covers of Joy Divisions, 'Transmission' (that brought the house down). Bolan's, 'Telegram Sam', Bowie's, 'Ziggy Stardust' and to finish the night perfectly, 'Bela Lugosi's Dead'.

This band's material from 1979-83 is nothing less than remarkable. What a shame they didn't produce more. Much like the Faulty Towers comedy series, all the better for it.

Like I said fucking awesome!
