I also had this happen with a slight twist. A month after I got my 7105t, I got a bill worth $3K (from using text, IM, PIN and email alone, no phone calls) because the rep didn't do their job and put the charge on my bill when it was someone else's. I called them because of them having a habit of not getting payments.

Anyway, the rep asked me who I was and I told her. Gave her all my acct info, etc. Turns out someone in accounting had the bills screwed up like I said. I ended up only having to pay $330 (the cost of the 7105t plus the end of the previous bill...I switched from a Sidekick 2 to the BB).

I'm 16 and 3 have a 7105t and unlimited text messaging and I have never been charged extra. For texting and I do it frequently so I don't think you have anything to worry about. T-Mobile is great

I have two BBs - my new 8700 with full data services and email, and my old BB which my kids now use for texting (me mostly) on a standard mobile contract without data services. They love it cos is so quick to use, and being 8&9 they've not used a standard phone yet and never used al ths abrvtns! (Srry I'm a prtty lzy txter mslf!).
