How do computers help businesses. I needed a few ideas for a paper, thanks.


Also, what would happen if computers stop working for a few days? What affect will they have on corporations?
 
Computers have a major effect on businesses:
Multimedia Communication (Pictures and Videos)
Advertising
Market Information
Management Softwares
Translation Services
Exchange Rates
Courier or Cargo Tracking
Documents and Calculations
Banking Systems would Fall Apart


If computers would stop working the following would happen:
- Stock Markets could Crash: investors wouldn't be able to know what stalks have rise and which have fallen.
- All the main operating systems and servers of corporations would be shut down making the company useless for a day therefore reducing business.
- Businesses could not calculate or access documents of utmost importance.
- No one could see a picture or video of a product/place in China while deciding to buy it here in the USA.
- Clients would not know balances in banks and exchange rates therefore not being able to make a transaction.
- No one would be able to send or receive documents thru Internet.

So on..
 
Ask yourself this..How has a computer helped me get an answer to my question,..then extrapolate that from the individual (you) to a multi-national ...

What would you do if your cell phone stopped working for a day...extrapolate that to a multi natonal
