Computer problem?

I have a laptop that cannot start up in any mode but safe mode, when I try normal it goes to a blue screen that says the computer will be shut down to prevent damage and usually say BAD_POOL_HEADING near the top. I had recently downloaded and installed a game, which is when this started happening. I have since removed the game, all its components, ran a system scan that found nothing, deleted some other folders and the same problem is happening, any help? (The operating system is Vista)
 
You might have a bad hard drive.

You can try to reinstall Vista but blue screen usually means a hardware malfunction.
