due to my monetary restrictions, i occasionally use my ps2 computer keyboard to fool around with fl studio or other daw software. let me describe my problem: sometimes my soundcard (which is an on-board realtek) doesn't seem to be able to handle my midi input signals very well. for example, when i press "z", "q", and "]" simultaneously to constitute a unison c-note, it's fine. but when i press "z", "q" and "o" simultaneously, for example, it can't handle it and midi signal falters (no sound at all). if i press "z", "q" and "o" one by one, signal stutters.
i thought there might be a software solution, but after a few hours of searching, that started to seem a little unlikely. i also thought to connect another computer keyboard (1 ps2, 1 usb) but that seemed ridiculous later on.
so what i'm asking is why midi-in can't handle certain notes (or midi signals) and do you think there's a ready or a potential solution (involving software or hardware). thanks for reading.
