Computer Experts (or Some Know-How) (Please Reply)?

My CD/DVD burner and the USB Port (iPod Connection ) on my computer will not work as they should.(CD/DVD Won't play CD's/DVD's) I was told a couple of times to take it to a Computer Repair Shop, What do they do? is there anything i can do to resolve this?


AND HOW CAN I CLEAN THE INSIDE OF MY KEYBOARD?
