Computer engineering related job in military service?

I was wondering if the military allows individuals to engineering the software inside of the machinery and how I might get a job doing so.

Also, I need some way to pay my way through post-secondary and I was wondering if there was something for tech savy individuals.

I am a Canadian citizen.
