Component Selector?

Anyone have a good Component Selector, so I can have my 360 w/ Components, my PS3 w/ components and my cable with components all to the same TV?

I am not using HDMI with my 360 because I can't use it for my Surround sound.

Links would help.

Anyone know where to get PS3 Component Cables?

That's what I got last year so I could hook up all my HD component devices to my HDTV. Works awesome, never had a problem, picture/audio quality is exactly the same. It automatically switches to a device when it's switch on, so no extra remotes. This is one of the best purchases I made for my setup.

I bought this for my XBox, PS2, Wii and DirecTV. It's awesome and works great. It has a nice blue LED display that displays the name of each input which you can customize to say anything you want. When I switch to XBox I have it set up to say "XBox" on the display. PS2 says "Sony PS2"....etc.

I bought it from Best Buy for around $100. Mine is silver but I saw a new one at Best Buy now that's black.

I was looking at that at Circuit City last month.
I was worried I would lose quality with the selector, but i've been reading that it doesnt hinder quality at all.

Now that my component cables are here, I think ill be buying it this weekend.

the original system selector pro is better then the new one, if a remote is not important to you. it has 8 component inputs, compared to what looks like 5 on the new one. also the old one has one of the component inputs ON THE FRONT. for some quick hookups. also because its older it will be cheaper.

the new one does look better, has lcd readout for the input selected and has a remote. so if you feel thats more important then having 3 extra component inputs and cheaper price, both are good products, as its from the same company.

The Pscylone seems to be a good unit. They have them at CC for $100. I would stay away from the Pelicans. On avsforum.com they were talking about a bunch of switchers and they said the pelicans were shit. But now there are a few thread with people having issues with the Pscylone

if you have a 360 you might want to check this out

I have one of those too. It works well with the Harmony 880 remote also. The only issues I have ever had were when you were programing the the custom names it wanted to take one of the leading spaces out if you were trying to center the text and a couple of times it would duplicate the text name on the next input rather than on the input you were programing.

You can't use optical with your 360? Get a nice receiver that can handle all your audio needs. If you have a new TV, you should at least have a minimun 3 connections using either compoenent/HDMI/DVi

When you buy a selector, be sure to do a blind test comparing the PQ with it and without it. The really good selectors can cost up to $2000, which hints at the fact that the cheap $50 ones may be degrading your signal.

I know some people who don't even use the switching in their high-end receivers because it degrades the signal.

When it comes to video, you want the purest and most straight signal path from source to TV. People spend lots of money getting the best TV and calibrating it only to have it all wiped out by cheap A/V selectors
