Any chance you can tell me how to be able to hook up my marine Alpine head unit so it'll work with the handlebar controls. Great post by the way.

In order to gain handlebar controls you will need a converter that interfaces between the Harley wiring harness and the harness that connects to the back of your new head unit. You can buy a PAC controller from crutchfield but it requires a bit of know how to connect and figure it out. The control kit sold by Biketronics is by far the best one on the market. I'd suggest you call Mike at Biketronics and seek their advice for your particular head unit. They can be found on the internet by searching their name.

i'm wondering about any water issues with the biketronics after market radios

Folks, I looked for the better part of an hour today and have been unable to locate some recent pics. indicating what Ultra-owners have done with the CB after relocating this to accommodate an amp on top of the HK unit.

Does anyone have any pics. with what they did with the CB after installing an add on amp?

If you're going with the Biketronics amps with the Ultra's CB unit, doubt you'll have any issues with space as the amps are quite small in size and can almost be located anywhere in the fairing. There's lots of room in there. Also, to answer the above issues about water and Biketronics? All of their equipment is hermetically sealed to prevent moisture issues in the fairing. They also have a facecap that covers the front of the head unit so not an issue.
