My car is literally a "death trap". I was driving my car on the highway the other day and it cut out on me, I was almost struck by a tractor trailler until they hurriedly moved into the next lane. I have a 2000 Chevrolet Impala it has 73,000 miles on it. I have taken it to two Chevrolet "specialist" mechanist and they claim that they can't find anything wrong with the vehicle. I paid over 600.00 worth of parts and labor for my car that I love so much because the two mechanics claimed all these parts were needed to fix the stalling. Well I spent a great sum of money on this car and there still has been no luck. Is there a main number to contact GM about this problem? I am at my witts end and I can't drive my car because I don't want it to cut off like it did on me the other day. This car is a death trap and there is no excuse for the run around I have been getting and the not so forward answers about why my car is still stalling and cutting off.

Most likely your vehicle is out of warranty. that said,
If you have had two specialists service the vehicle for this problem, I would suggest the following.
If it was a GM repair facility, you should return, demand satisfaction and request a loaner until they have remedied the problem.
If it was serviced by a shop other than GM, you should return and have them fix the problem for, they have first right to remedy a faulty repair, but should not charge for the come back. Should you not be made whole and the problem remedied, write a detailed letter to your Attorney General and include the safety issues that resulted and request them to investigate your claim. The BBB is worthless, don't bother with that joke. Also, to contact GM directly about the problem,
