I'm thinking about entering the American Protege Competition in the Intermediate category (ages 14 to 17). The piece I have chosen to enter is Chopin's Polonaise in C sharp minor, op. 40 no. 1. Would this piece be difficult enough to play in such a competitive competition? Or should I wait a year more until I can play more challenging repertoire? Thanks.
