Will do. I talked to the dealer yesterday and they didn't know anything about a SE kit. I'm not really surprized by this . Of course the BIG Kahuna at H-D has to bless anything they do under warranty.

I don't really think it's totally coming loose or off. Not into a death wish since I left my first Wife....HA!!!! I had over 8K miles on it before I took it in the first time with 6K of it being on the Ride Home to the 105th in Milwaukee and beyond.
 
This sounds EXACTLY like the problem I had today with my 2010 (5,500 miles). I thought the frickin' engine was going to blow up! I am mad as hell! Dealer did come to pick up the bike, and I'll find out the whole story in a day or two (or three or four or five or more).

Definitely going to do some research on the SE Compensator kit. Thanks for the info.

Anyone else have this problem with a 2010 bike? Thanks!
 
I had my '08 in to the dealer one more time after they replaced the OEM Compensator Nut and Sprocket with and "upgraded" part. I got grumpy on them because it was still making the same noise. They found the nut was torqued to specs and hadn't come loose again. Right after that I took it into my usual mechanic for a regular service and he took a quick look at the clutch. Said it wasn't adjusted properly and fixed it. Haven't had the issue again. Over 30,000 miles on it now. Just got back from Sturgis and she ran like a champ.
