...open-minded towards other cultures? Yes or no ? Why / why not ?

Extra Question ) Compared to mono-lingual people, do multi-lingual people usuallu have a BROADER WORLD VIEW? Or there are some exceptions?

Share your views, thanks

Multilingual people that are multilingual because they've lived in two different cultures, or live in families that used to live in another culture, have a better understanding of other cultures, because they've lived somewhere else, but its not because they can speak another language, its because of their experience of another culture. I think people that learn a bit of French and German at school don't really get their eyes opened in the same way.

Yes, I believe that.

To learn another language (especially as an adult) takes some effort and sacrifice. Part of understanding that language is the culture that comes with it.

yes because to study a certain language, you need to know the culture of the people of that language origin. multi lingual people have a broader view of the world..

it depends on the person but i do believe that yes people who are multilingual are usually more open minded towards other cultures and other races then people who are just mono-lingual since they haven't been exposed to other cultures and other beliefs

Usually yes, however I have a few relatives who are multi-lingual and yet they have a very narrow, bigoted world view :P
