Compare the Vibrant for ex to the My Touch

Only in one respect. I know we all have our opinions on the phone, but with respect to the genius button, I hear that the Nexus and the Vibrant CAN do everything that the Genius button does, just in Different locales.

Is this true?

I can hit the search button and say, "call Christy" and it works. I can hit "find McDonalds" and it works

I canNOT however say "text Christy" it will not do that, a page opens up in the browser.


I can goto the Messages, and voice enter the Name and then separately the message.

Is that about the scope of it. they are not gonna be able to do the entire Genius button AT ALL, much less all in one spot??

there is NO comparison btwn the mytouch slide and Vibrant. Vibrant is better phone in EVERYWAY. The genius button is a gimmick. It takes 1 second to find contacts by touch. IMO, speaking commands take longer.
 
Thanks for all your replies I have to say that it was probably me And i didn't write what i wanted to say correctly I certainly agree that the vibrance is in a whole different leagues than the my touch I don't know who wouldn't agree to that My question was basically only based on the genius button I basically wanted to know if the person was correct I heard someone say that the nexus 1 and the vibrant and most android phones Can you do though very same thing as the genius button except that you have to do it in different locations is this correct if not no problem and if so if anyone has time might you tell me the different things the genius button does and where i would do the Exact same things on so vibrant. Thank you if you can do that and even if you can not Also i would love to know the difference in the voice command and voice search. I want to end on this. If some of the things that you read from me seemed odd it was because of 2 things first i am doing it on the phone and it is a little hard to edit secondly it's because i have used this speech functions for all over it i am not taking up for any minorities or anything i am taking up for myself and sayings please know that this speech functions and speech buttons shouldn't taken lightly, forgotten, or rid of. Show me the are very helpful i change a lot so it makes it a lot easier to say it than to type it i will share with you that it is easier because of a medicine i am on or because i may have turrets
