Bell was 29 when he invented his telephone.
Ford was 33 when he invented his horseless carriage.
Bell would explore the realm of communications as well as engage in a great variety of scientific activities involving kites, airplanes, tetrahedral structures, sheep-breeding, artificial respiration, desalinization and water distillation, and hydrofoils.
Ford revolutionized manufacturing. By 1914, his Highland Park, Michigan plant, using innovative production techniques, could turn out a complete chassis every 93 minutes. This was a stunning improvement over the earlier production time of 728 minutes.
So you could say Bell was a scientist/inventor while Ford was an inventor/engineer/industrialist.
Both men were married.

Ford operated a small saw mill to support the family prior to developing his horseless carriage.
