I have a 2007 Trek 1000 SL http://scottsbikes.com/page.cfm?PageID=58 (the top one)

and i wan to upgrade to a 2008 Felt 85. will the 300$ price jump be worth it? will I notice a bigger diference when taking it out? or will it be minorly better>>

im asking becasue i dont know if i care about switching unless the Felt F85 delivers a way better bike for racing and just riding

Will you notice a difference? Assuming they both fit you well, then I'd say yes.

The Felt definitely has better parts: 105 shifters and FD, Ultegra RD, FSA crankset, Mavic/DT wheelset. With a mix of 2200, Sora and Tiagra, the Trek isn't nearly as well spec'd. Factor in the 10-sp cassette and double crankset against the 8-sp cassette and triple crankset. The Trek is a fine entry level road bike, but the Felt is something that you could realistically compete with or take on club rides. For a measley $300 extra, it's money very well spent.
