I have a Compaq C300 that likely overheated (kids!). Now when I turn it on, the power light flashes and keeps flashing. I have read that this flash is supposed to indicate that there is a battery power issue, but the AC Adapter is fine, and I get the flash whether the battery is installed (battery power) or not (direct AC power). What else might cause it to flash the power light and refuse to boot?
