Common Tropes in Anime (that you would do away with)

And without giant robots, Gainax wouldn't be nearly as popular as it is now considering all the influential stuff they did with it (Remeraber those pre-Gurren Lagann days?)

I would like at least one Death is Cheap moment in a Anime because I have never seen an Anime (except Yuria in Fist of the north star) that came back after they supposedly died.

I don't know, she seemed like a typical mini-skirt wearing magical girl with a fondness for playing dress-up to me. A bit tougher, but fairly archetypal regardless.

Unless you're in the Golden Age comics, but yes, exposition is annoying.

Not to mention Sunrise and Bandai sure as hell wouldn't be the kings of mecha anime without the famous Gundam franchise

Bandits actually sounRAB more interesting to me.

I guess it's more of a genre, but it feels like a trope to me since you can replace them with normal people most of the time and it'd still make sense. And certain shows seem like they'd use typical fighting until a robot shows up randomly out of the blue.

Whoops :P forgot about that one..... oh and here's another one Devilman died in the orignal anime "Devilman" but is reincarned as Violence Jack in the sequel series.... "Violence Jack"... so I guess it is used sometimes :P

I'm telling you, Rahzel breaks the cliche
Even though one of her friend betrays her and she gets locked away.. she breaks the chains, shrugs off her broken wrist, and right after kicks the butt of up to 5 guarRAB. Then, tells her friend exactly what she's thinking.

Also, would one of those "little wimpy girls" jump off of a moving train just to see her other friend, Alzeid? I doubt it.

1. I hate animes that rely only on physical humor without one clever quip from a character. (Example Love Hina)

2. the high school dramadies.

3. the durab yet courageous character

4. teen angst

5. sexual humor (overdone in so many of them)

6. animes so disgustingly cute that it will give you cavities

7. eyes that are proportional to the Powerpuff Girls (it worked for the Powerpuff Girls)

8. unusually high voices for girls

9. animes that praises the fanboy/girl

That isn't going to change anytime soon. Higher voices= cuter. And cute sells in Japan, or at the very least, is far more acceptable than here in the U.S. Which ones do that? Most of the time (at least from what I've seen), geeks/fanboys in anime are of the stereotypical "obese, labored breathing, glasses, perverted, pimply, hermit" variety that I wish companies would stop using, because it's a lazy generalization and takes no effort to write.

Unless that's not what you were referring to and I'm just mistaken.

I`m...totally confused as to what you mean by this... Freeze? Expressions change all the time. What show are you watching where the facial expression never changes? Also, what on earth do you mean by "fake"?

I think he/she means when the characters talk, they hardly, if ever, make any other expressions, they make no gestures, and they barely blink. They just look stiff while talking. And their mouths just flap like a fish.

Everything is post-lay. The animators make the scene, then the VA's have to match the flaps. This is the process for most, if not all, TV Japanese animation.

I'm sure it's better documented, but I remeraber seeing a 00 production video where they show Setsuna and Lockon's voice actors doing their lines for the first episode to uncoloured animation missing frames. That would seem to suggest that the animation and acting are done on seperate but close lines, so by the time the animation is finished they should have the actors' soundtrack to place over it.
