The article says: China?s rules on GM food are more relaxed than those
in Europe. The GM milk would not be allowed on sale in Britain unless
it was approved by the European Union and passed stringent safety
tests.

Why do you think it's coming here?

Cuz about 80% of the farmed food, including cow's milk, is GM. Last I
heard, rBGH is still with us.

Good one, shelly. Though not really all that unexpected from the one
person on rfc with an incessant anal fixation.

Human breast is a custom-made food for the infant manufactured by the
mother - mostly it contains antibodies that the mom develops within her
environment and helps protect the child. Additionally, the nutritional
composition changes in ways over time that appear to be in sync with the
needs of the developing infant.

It's a neat system that has evolved over tens of thousands of years. My
guess is that the GM milk might be more suited for humans than cows milk
but it'll never replace the real thing. OTOH, most humans in the states
don't get the real thing anyway.
