Comic Book Films - Marvel unveils big screen plans

Hi just found this on the itv website:

"Comic turned film producer Marvel has revealed its plans for several new superhero movies including sequels to the Hulk and X-Men.

The Punisher, starring John Travolta, is due to arrive in cinemas early next year, and Spiderman 2 is due to follow it next summer.

They will be followed by Hulk 2 is scheduled for 2006, along with X-Men 3 and four new comic adaptations: Captain America, Nick Fury, Namor and Iron Fist.

But Marvel and 20th Century Fox have delayed the long awaited Fantastic Four movie. Originally set to premiere at Christmas 2004, it now won't be seen until summer 2005.

A sequel to Daredevil is in the works, as is a spin-off movie based on the character played by Jennifer Garner, Elektra.

Meanwhile, Nicolas Cage will play John Blaze in Ghost Rider, the story of a motorcyclist possessed by a demon. The film starts shooting next year."
 
Brilliant news coming out from Marvel !

I was on Ain't it cool news website this morning and this news was talked about on there forum's. It was 50/50 good news - bad news. Alot of people are very happy about lots of new marvel films and others seem to hate them.

I personally love Marvel films (have them all on DVD) obviously like some better than others... Hulk was average where as X2 was amazing !!!

Really looking forward to Spider-Man 2, X3, Hellboy, Iron man, Fantastic 4, Electra, Ghost rider and Nick Fury (Sam Jackson is rumoured to be locked into that role.... brilliant)

I'll probably go see Punisher (horrible trailer), Captain America, Hulk 2, Namor and Iron fist but don't have big hopes for them.

Also in the news Avi Arad posted he said new episodes of (MTV's) Spiderman Animated would return on Fox kiRAB in the US. New Blade and Hulk cartoons would debut as well. Marvel is going to have a good few years me thinks !!!!

Honestly though, comic book movie's arn't everyone's aquired taste, I understand that but I get really angry when people criticise people for liking them. I don't criticise people who love westerns (not my taste).

Anyway great news about Marvel !!!!
