College student with tax questions?

My parents will no longer claim me on their taxes and they dont pay anything for me to go, i get all grants. I need to know if i have to file a return for the grant money i was issued? If so, is the form different? I also have been living with my boyfriend for the last 6 months and we share a bank account and certain finantial obligations... i know thats not considered married, but will that effect my tax return at all?
