I was just playing some football with friends the other day and before we started me and a friend from soccer decided to have a field goal kicking contest. I had kicked around a little at school before during a gym class the year before and had hit from about 45 as my longest, which was all the practice I had had up to this point. But the other day, I only attempted three (with an official size football btw) and hit from 40 yds., 45, and then 50 with yards to spare with a holder. I had always thought about playing for my high school team, but never decided to. I was wondering if it was worth pursuing this if I was planning on going to a D1 school (probably either the ACC or Ivy league). I really am interested, I just don't know if I have a chance at walking on? Any feedback is appreciated.
