College giveth grant then taketh away?

At the beginning of the semester my college gave me a $600 grant. After I've used it they sent me a bill for $230 for a fee deficiency. I do notice on my homepage it does say the grant money amounts are subject to change but this sucks! Is there a way I can dispute this, I can't afford it :-(

Did you happen to make a change to your classes or anything? I have had the problem a couple of times where before my money is even sent out to me I change my schedule and the fee goes up a little bit but then the school sends out my money a few days or a week later and then I owe them more for the difference that they didn't update. Was it something like this that made the fee change? Usually after they cut you your checks they don't take your grants away. You could also call and figure out why you do have a fee deficiency. But whatever excuse they tell you you will still be responsible for paying it or you'll end up being dropped from the school and owe a lot more back.
