College Dorm Problem?

Random Girl

New member
I am a first year college student and I feel out of place with all the ppl I met. Theres a group of ppl and everyone hangs out with eachother but I feel that no one wants to ask me to hang out. Their always hanging out in the halls and stuff and I think they all ask eachother to come out. Is it weird to just come out n hang out with them without being asked? Also none of the girls ever ask me to get ready with them if their going somewhere. I dunno why.
It really sucks and I feel so outta place here. Also, I made a this girl my really good friend and we had a great start right when we met but me n her seem to be kinda drifting apart too. Like she hangs with all the ppl in that group now 2 but the thing is I feel she doesnt wanna hang out with me as much.

What should I do:( ? I feel like sucha loser.

Small world man, I used to have the exact same issue. What I can say is that, these people in your hall are not as unfriendly as you think, it's you who needs to open up to others. What I do is, whenever I have free time and want to chill I leave my dorm door open; people will know that you're available. I'm not too social myself but before you know it one brave person will notice you in your room and introduce his/herself to you and once you establish a connection the rest in your hall will follow.

I found the best place to meet people was either in the food court or cafeteria. No one likes to eat alone so find someone eating by themselves and start up a conversation. That's what I would do and it worked out well for me. My best friend and I became what we are today because of it.
