A couple of us have been discussing colleges and such, and what colleges look at. Do you think I would be accepted into a major university with a 4.25 GPA weighted (3.875 unweighted. yes I understand it's low, well at least in my opinion it is), involved greatly in music, many hours of community service, tutoring many days of the week, and active in many clubs including honor societies of all possible. I'm also a student in IB (International Baccalaureate) along with all AP classes possible. I would be able to get many recommendation letters as teachers have told me to come back and they would write them upon request. I honestly don't know if I would as many students are saying that sports are what the kickers are for colleges. I don't see the point in that though if you're going for academics, not sports. Other then showing the student is well rounded. Anyways, what's your opinion?
It's not that I necessarily want to go to a major one, but if I the potential to get into one, then I know I can go anywhere I choose. It always made sense in my mind, but never anyone else's.
