Coheed and Cambria

I agree, but I dunno, it might just be because I surround myself with people who are very musically closeminded. Coheed and Carabria is ****ing great. Probably in my top 10.

I absolutley can't stand C&C. Well I hate all emo crap obviously, but lately some noobs have been telling me to get into them if you like prog and I was all rofl, I listen to prog that's actually good not like emo-prog.

I thought they were one of the best banRAB of that genre (whatever that genre may be... what I mean is they're not easily categorised into indie, folk, blues, rock, funk, d'n'b or anything I listen to)

But yeah so then I went to see them live and they just didn't do it for me.

Has anyone else had this experience?

I thought they were really good live. Claudio's voice is a bit different only because it's hard for him to reach the octaves and such.

Unless you saw them a really long time ago.

I bought this on a whim after hearing the wonderfull twin-guitar work on "Ten Speed (Of God's Blood & Burial)" and immediately found that it fell into the delightfully pretentious camp (much like Rush who they happen to imitate). I just let myself go and bang my head a bit. I just wish they didn't try to make concept albums, because their lyrics are juvenile and only comprehensible if you've read what I'm sure must be a lame graphic novel. Pretension doesn't work as well in other mediums as it does in music.

Well, that's your opinion, but I do think it is a classic album. A lot of the reasons are in the review so either look at the review again, or try to prove me wrong.

That makes me want to listen to the last one or two I've purchased but haven't given too much of a chance, after that damn horrid song on the radio. Figures everyone eats up their worst song.

Really? I thought they blew the other acts out of the water.
The improv solo in 'In Keeping Secrets' was the shiz man.
While I was there I bought one of the comics that the lyrics are based off of...gotta say, wasn't overjoyed with it.

Anyway I played No World for Tomorrow to death, so next I think I'm get familiar with either 'Second Stage Turbine Blade' or 'In Keeping Secrets...'

Hey all, I joined this forum simply to be a part of this thread... ha!

I've been a Coheed fan since "In Keeping Secrets", seen them live 5 time in the past 3 years. Even went as far as to get their keywork logo tattooed. I love everything about this band. They defiantly don't get the recognition they deserve.
