Coffee or tea?

The best analogy is weight lifting - if I you stood me in front of 300
lbs. on a barbell 10 years ago and said, "Here, pick this up," I would
have either failed miserably or hurt myself terribly, or both. But I
trained progressively and I can now pick up that 300 lb. barbell.

Learning to eat less often is exactly the same - anyone would be
miserable if they did it "cold turkey," but it's perfectly doable if you
take your time. Your are training your insulin response system, not
your muscles. It has a number of benefits as well - you feel pleasantly
clear-minded all day long, no feeling like you need a nap after lunch,
and it's supposed to be very good for your body as well, allowing it
more time to "detox" - I confess I don't know exactly what "detox" is or
does, but idea feels right to me. It's also nice not to have to worry
about what to eat all day long, too, you just focus on dinner instead.

Just my opinion, your mileage may vary.
