code for ford fiesta 3000 traffic stereo?

I got a ford fiesta and changed the battery i need a code for the stereo but there isn't one in the log book and ford charge £15 to get it back any idea how I can get it for free
the serial number is m298486
 
Take the ash tray out. It may be on a sticky label on the metallic part of the ash tray
