Yeah because coke heaRAB care so much about others

whatever it could be made for legally in the US, if the cartels had to, it could be made for half in mexico; cheaper labor. so they'd still seek to push their illicit, cheaper product here

U jelly of all the sex with dudes I have?

They're not being affected by drug use, they are being affected by the environment in which some drugs are distributed.

The profit margins are so enormous when it comes to selling illicit substances that it's no surprise why people continue to sell them. And it's not like you can go to court to settle disagreements between rival drug sellers, unlike with tobacco, alcohol, or pharmaceuticals. There is no legal recourse so the only solution is by handling it yourself and cartels are just well funded gangs so they'll have no problem taking care of business on their own.

People don't gun each other down over alcohol distribution and people don't hang other people from bridges to gain the anti-depression pill marketshare

more like, "no demand, the mexicans will switch to whatever else is in demand, and there will still be violence"

they'd kill each other over tickle-me-elmo's if they were in competition over making and distributing them

With the 11tyandahalfbillion dollars of our tax money being spent on a decades long drug war with no real abatement of the supply or the demand, the only logical thing would be to legalize drugs and focus the efforts on drug education and rehabilitation.
