We currently use our coax backfeed to watch pvr recordings throughout the house on a couple of crt televisions. We're not watching hd - or at least, we're not watching shows that we care if they're hd or not. (We have the hd tv upstairs and use it in the evenings...)

We're planning a reno and I'd like to replace these old crt boxes with smaller flat screen televisions - something in the 14" range. My question is:

Will our current setup of back-fed coax still look ok on the flat screens, or at least not worse than they do on our current crt screens?

It's not that we're against buying a box for each tv set (which we already have), it's just that we want to view our recorded shows from the pvr on sets throughout the house as we go about our day.

Does that make sense? Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Pete

I have to agree with haytack, although I found that by adding a small (3dB) attenuator the PQ did improve on a small LCD TV.

i have my 9200 run by coax up to a 52" lcos rear projection tv, it looks pretty good although we still usually watch hd channels only but sd stuff is fine. tv has a good upscaler but i assume most would these days.
