Congratulations on enlisting in the oldest continuously commissioned maritime service (actually older than the US Navy!)
Boot camp will be interesting. I recommend running so you can run a mile and a half without stopping or walking, and practice doing push-ups and sit-ups. Your recruiter can show you how to do them properly.
Something to keep in mind is that you will be yelled at and treated like EVERYTHING you do is wrong. If 99 of 100 do something right, all 100 will be punished for that one failure. You will be late for EVERYTHING, and you will be given five minutes to do things that take a full hour...
We do this to put you under LOTS of stress. We put a lot of authority and responsibility on the shoulders of our junior enlisted folks, and we need to make sure that you can handle it. Don't be surprised when lots of people just crumble and get kicked out.
If I can offer some advice - never quit. If you can only do 25 push-ups and they want you to do 30, keep trying - don't just stop and quit. Find out what you can do well (making your rack, measuring and rolling your clothes, polishing shoes, cleaning sinks/toilets, whatever) and then make deals... "Hey, you make a rack FAST!! I'll polish your shoes if you make my rack." Also, try to be the last one out of the barracks... and as you race out, do one last check... looking to see that everyone's shoes are lined up and all the locks are locked on the wall lockers.
We do this to watch out for each other. It will really be appreciated.
