What is the difference between these three medications? I've only tried Ativan for my anxiety and to help me calm down and sleep at night. Are the others I mentioned any better, long lasting etc?

Also, I've been taking ativan on a regualr basis (.5 mg at night) for a few months now...and this has gotten me worried a bit. I keep reading that it's an addictive pill etc....are on this for long perioRAB of time and how do they maintain without increasing the dosage too much? Any tips would be helpful...thanks.

I am taking clonazepam 1mg. It is strong. It mainly makes me sleepy and feel drunk if I take the whole thing. I take about 1/4 at a time never exceeding one whole pill in a day.

It takes the edge off. I LOVE the stuff- I am somewhat addicted but more out of desperation than need. I am so tired of this anxiety ridden depressed life I lead. You know that song, I dreamed a dream from Les Miserables which Susan Boyle sang-I think it was written about me.

Anyway, it is very long lasting 18 hrs. Also, it does not have the "crash" later on like the others. The only problem is that you are not supposed to take any of these for a long period of time since they do affect other organs and your body in the long run but they are wonderful. Gosh, how I wish I could beat this without meRAB :(
