clockWork oranGe

I watched a film when very young called IF..? it stuck in my head and McDowell was in that to. I have watched clockwork a couple of times, but like other people said I was expecting too much with the hype.

Anyway It was on C4 the other week, It is on S4C now and I am loving/liking it for the first time. Perhaps it is a classic, or I am just in the mood for life/crap.

WOT A LOAD OF RUBBISH.

Watched it on channel4, how dated is it?

As for the violence...seen worse on Grange Hill.

Wanna see a good Malcolm Macdowell movie?

Watch If.

THAT is a classic movie!

I saw a Clockwork Orange when it was first released at a small cinema in Birmingham, before the director saw fit to withdraw the film. The next time I saw the film was when taking a break in Amsterdam, although the film was presented in English it was very hard not to try and read the subtitles.

I too thought the film very violent but it did not detract from the underlying principle of the film. One may say that the images on the screen very indicative of some aspects of society in the 21st century. Or am I being to pessimistic?
