I have had a string of really bad luck lately. Aside from elective vein surgery on my legs almost 2 and a half weeks ago. I had a bad blood draw two weeks ago. My arm still hurts and is swollen down in there and I have shooting pains. An MRI will probably be next. Today to TOP IT OFF!! I was working as a teachers aide at a school today. I was in a level 3 handicapped room. These kids are pretty bad off. Two were hitting themselves in the head saying weird things, one in a wheel chair, he doesn't know whats going on. I was with one that was pretty quiet. Then out of the blue this quiet girl next to me (we were all sitting at a table) throws a clipboard backwards and nails me between the eye and temple full force. WOW! I didn't see that one coming. It stung like crazy I think I even saw stars. I was luck it didn't go in my eye or temple. It was swelling and I got ice right away.
The school nurse just told me to look for certain symptoms of a concussion for the next 24 hours. Well its been 8 hours and I feel pretty normal except it is pretty tender where she nailed me. Do you suppose the rest of the night will go ok if I go to sleep. Just a little worried and being precausious. Thanks for any replies.
