Okay, I'm with both of you except for Big Daddy, which so offended me I couldn't sit through it.

However - since I LOVED all the others, maybe I'll give it another chance...and this one, too?

 I know, are you planning on seeing it in threater or are you waiting for it to come out on dvd?

Me too, I wonder what Sean Astin will play in the movie, maybe his best friend?

*is scared*

Ok I will list the ones I really loved.. :P

Happy Gilmore
Big Daddy
The Wedding Singer
Anger Management
50 First Dates

:smirk:

Being the massive Sandler fan I am, I do own all his movies, and like them, though some are kinda stupid.......though I always like him. But I loved him especially in Punch-Drunk Love and Spanglish. But seriously PDL was just amazing! He needs to do more movies like that.

From what I've read, they are saying this is the most emotionally touching of his Happy Madison movies.......they even mention a bit of a Big Daddy feel. So, I'm hoping it does have some serious moments too, that aren't just for laughs.

I am excited to see Sean Astin again. I love how you see many pop up again in other Happy Madison productions.

Yeah, I really loved seeing him as a father in Spanglish, and found out he was in this too, which made me happy.

I hated that every funny moment in the movie is in the trailors. Drives me nuts when that's the case.

I enjoyed the movie though. Much like the Breakup though it was probably more serious/dramatic than most people realized it was going to be. I loved the overall message of the movie and I thought Adam was teriffic..........especially in the dramatic scenes.

Ooo I like Steve Martin and Christmas movies!

They actually have a pretty good list of actors/actresses in this movie. Sean Astin is in the movie with Adam again. They got Chris Faley's younger brother John in it. It would be funny if they had Rob Schneider guest spot in another one of Adam's films but I dont see him in the credits, nor Steve Buscemi either :pout:

Anji- Me too, its cool seeing Adam as a father figure in the movie. He is usually the single guy without any kids in alot of his films.

I agree, Anji. I think he is good with dramatic stuff as well as comedy. Adam usually cracks me up in almost all his films so Im sure I will get a few good laughs out of this movie as well.

Im guessing by this pic, is when Adam's character sees the control for the first time by the look on his face

I am hoping it's more dramatic...............since I know he's good at doing that.

Yeah, what Mel said, I just think it's hilarious! He's too cute as Louie!

I didn't like Little Nicky and Billy Madison as much either.

I liked that part from the trailer you mentioned, Jen, and I also really like when he realizes his daughter's all grown up and he missed most of it.

I saw it, and liked it, since I do like most of his movies, but there was also something missing.......I think it was the lack of chemistry with these kids, where I thought he had more in Big Daddy or Spanglish. And, there was some stuff in it, I didn't like, but over all, I did enjoy it. I liked when it got really emotional.

I'm not sure - I don't care for his comedies (they're idiotic), but I LOVE his dramas/dramedies. I think I'll wait to see what you all think of it, although I like the concept.
