Clerks 2

I saw it the first week it was out.
I am a HUGE Kevin Smith fan. I still watch the original Clerks and still laugh out loud at it.
About half way through Clerks 2 I came to the sudden realization that not only is Kevin Smith on top of his game with this movie - but it may in fact be a better movie then the original Clerks.

That entire Donkey bit. Too funny.

Jason Mewes was ontop of his game as well.

And whats her face, the female that worked in the fast food place, damn she is hot.

How big of a Kevin Smith fan are you?

The girl working in the fast food place is Rosario Dawson.
 
I consider myself a pretty big fan of most of his work. I don't memorize trivia or gossip to prove it though.
I'll probably buy it once it hits DVD, although I am not expecting much.

He tried making serious movies and failed miserably, so now he is falling back on his old standby.
 
i love this movie! its way different from the original clerks though. i feel this was made just to be funny. the original clerks had more of a message to it like taking control of your life.

Maybe it's because I'm older but I didn't think Clerks2 was all that great. What made Clerks so great was the fantastic dialogue, and the sexual allusions were enough. The donkey scene went well beyond anyones standards of good taste and was way too explicit; they could have presented the same message in a subtler fashion.

The original was great, this was ok.
 
My roommates went and saw the Movie and said that it rocked. How was it in comparsion to the first one, I saw what the an older post at to say, just curious if anyone has a comment too.
