Clearing search history on my MAC?

I would like to clear my search history on my MAC, I use Yahoo as my home page, not sure if that matters and my search box always comes up google.. that sounds so confusing. Its so easy on a PC but I am so confused.
 
You go to the Safari menu at the top of the screen and select the tab "History." Scroll down and select clear history.
