Hi guys, I use to drop by here a lot in my teenage years when my acne was suvere. I did 3 courses of accutane and what not. Now I'm almost 22 and do still get the occational breakout but never too bad thankfully.

I'd like to share with you something that I discovered now that I did not take seriously enough when I was younger.

DRINK WATER!!!

I don't mean a little bit... i mean drink TONS of water. The general rule of thurab like the title of the thread suggests is that your pee should always be clear. If its yellow at all it means you have too much impurities in your body and your not flushing them out enough. Impurities = breakouts.

I know its hard to do and it's annoying always going to the bathroom but suck it up and I guarantee yo'll be very happy. The best part is you can and should be drinking tons no matter what treatment your already on. It's something you 100% should add to your daily fight to clean acne.

Some people slowly sip away all day, but I prefer the chugging method. Every so often.. roughly once an hour I'll just chug a whole bottle of water. So throughout the day I drink about 12 bottles of water and I find that keeps my pee clear all day.

In addition to not breaking out I generally just feel healthier it seems.

Some people like to add lemon for taste and it's supposed to help clear acne as well. I haven't tried that yet but I have read really good things about it.

Give your body what it neeRAB! Drink drink drink! Take it seriously! You will be so surprised it works better then anything else I promise.

For people who take B-vitamin supplements (which turn pee bright yellow), this would be an impossible goal. But I do agree about drinking lots of water.

welcome back, accutane dude! i had wondered what happened to you as i used to follow your posts then suddenly you disappeared!

I have not had such luck with this method. I have been drinking about 150 oz. of water every day for the past 6 months and I have yet to see any improvements in my skin. It's not that main reason I started drinking so much water in the first place (started when I began a new workout routine and just to be overall healthier) but I thought that if it would help my acne too then it would be totally worth it. I am really sad to say that even though I may be overall more healthy, my skin has not improved at all. I have tried everything (retin-A, fish oil, changing my skin care/cleansing routine) but nothing is working. My acne is not really severe (only around my chin area) but they are VERY painful cystic pimples that drive me absolutely crazy. I am really beginning to feel hopeless in this situation. I was on Accutane about 10 years ago when I was a teen and while it did work, the side effects were awful and I really do not want to go through all that again but like I said, I am beginning to feel hopeless. I wish the water method worked....it seemed like such an easy solution.
