Cleaning Air Filter

What brand of a/f? Is it a K&N stage 1? If it is, they have a cleaning and reoiling kit you can buy. I have the Arlen Ness Big Sucker. It's the same kind as K&N. I spray it around the outside with the cleaner, let it soak fo a few minutes and rinse with water from the faucet from the inside out. I lay it on my floor fan in the garage and let it dry. Reoil with the recharge oil and reinstall. Simple!!

Forgot to add, if it's a SE stage 1 A/F that you don't oil, I would wash it with warm water and diswashing detergent. Let it dry and reinstall. Hope this helps!

Stock does not require oiling...Depending on how dirty it is you can either use compressed air to blow it out from the insode out or you can use warm soapy water and aloow to completely air dry before reinstall

I didn't think you cleaned a stock filter, thought they had to be replaced. I know you are not supposed to use compressed air to blow them out. Says so right on the instructions that comes with all cleanable filters. Blowing with compressed air can damage the element...just saying!

The stock paper filters are cleanable...Using an air comp at low psi does a great job for minor cleaning but warm water and air dry cleans em up well replace as needed
