Classics you just cant warm to..

Another one for "It's a Wonderful Life" - utter utter drivel. In fact, I hate that film!

And whilst I'm at it, "The Full Monty" - what's all the fuss about? A group of unattractive Northerners strip off to a crap song, piffle!

And "Billy Elliot"

Forest Gump
Brokeback mountain - not much happens and Heath Ledger mumbles so much I've no idea what he says
Love Actually - it's just boring

Laurence of Arabia - the dullest film in history imo. I've tried to watch it a couple of times and ended up giving up around the 2hr mark.

Just remembered another: Lost in Translation.

The only DVD I have got rid of immediately after watching, such was my hatred for this smug, lazy, deeply pretentious shit.

2001 - A Space Odyssey - The humming soundtrack!
The Godfather
Godfather Part 2
Mean Streets
All Star Wars Films
The Haunting - Julie Harris gives the most irrating performance l've ever seen imho!

I tried watching Lawrence of Arabia once, but gave up pretty quickly. I swear at one point it was just a picture of a desert with no-one there for about three or four minutes.

Never liked Grease or Seven Brides for Seven Brothers much either.

The Humming Soundtrack? Hmmmmmm ...........

Maybe wd have been better with scat singing, something from Cleo Laine (open the cinema doors please HAL).

I agree with this - apart from The Full Monty being OK, I thought it was poor. I had had no feeling for any of the characters.

Brassed Off was miles better.

The three films considered 'classic' that left me most underwhelmed are ET, Reservior Dogs and Forrest Gump.

godfather ... nope dont get the big deal (quite like goodfellas though)

lord of the rings ... i just dont get that full stop, the first 20 mins drove me insane, explaining all these rings of power, but ohh wait, theres this one ring that makes all that stuff you just watched pointless, skip 3 and bit hrs roll credits and ... yeah thats right, its still not finished, only another 6 hrs of this crap to go, nope i dont think so
