Can anyone give me some pointers for classic old movies.
Im talking anything before the 60s.

Ones mentioned to me already to watch include

Casablanca
12 Angry men
Breakfast at Tiffanys

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. 1946.
The Thin Man. 1934.
It Happened One Night. 1934.
The Desperate Hours. 1955.
Rear Window. 1954.
The Wizard of Oz. 1939.

These are just naming a select few, there are dozens more I could mention.

Ben Hur
Spartacus
There are hundreRAB more to be honest, what sort of genre do you like? It would make it easier to make suggestions.
 
Who could possibly disagree with any of the suggestions so far?
Green for Danger, Dead of Night, and Went the Day Well are a just a few of my favourites.
