Classic Movies youve never seen

'Classics' are often overrated. Just because a film has a wide reaching appeal it doesn't necessarily mean it's any good ;)

There are soooooooooo many classics that I've yet to see - watching a doco today on BBC2 re-living the 1930's Universal Horror movies, I noticed I'd not seen 'Dracula' or 'Bride Of Frankenstien' all the way through :eek:
 
Hmm. I hadn't seen it either until a couple of years ago. I was so disappointed, probably because my expectations were so high.

I'm sure if I'd seen it at the cinema in 1973 with Tubular Bells on surround sound and little idea of what to expect, I'd have been overwhelmed. Well, I was two years old... but you take my point.

On the telly, 30 years later, it just doesn't have the same impact.
 
I haven't seen The Godfather movies and I don't want to. I hate those Italian American mafia movies, ugh!!

I've never watched an episode of The Sopranos. No interest at all.
 
bloody hell, how can you have gone your life without seeing TopGun or ET???

you really need to see these films, or risk being a social outcast from this site for the rest of your life, LOL. only kidding about the outcast bit!!!
 
Not sure if it is a classic or not but nobody I know can believe that I have never ever seen The Great Escape. So many folk have actually said it with such disbelief it is almost a mission for me to never ever watch it!!!

I have seen wee bits of The Wizard Of Oz but not all of it.

Resevoir Dogs, The Godfather films, The Sound Of Music and Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs are others that I have not seen that people seem amazed by too!
 
I've seen the beginning, middle and end of The Magificent Seven, but I've never seen it all together.

I've never seen the Sound of Music, or Mary Poppins, or the one with the flying car.

We had a 30 year old friend over the other night to watch The Goonies.

He'd never seen it! Everyone I've told is in shock!!!!

(BTW Shawshank Redemption is great - I thought I'd hate it, but how wrong I was.)
 
I've never seen West Side Story, or Lawrence Of Arabia, or Top Gun. Am also ashamed to admit that I haven't seen Return Of The King......yes, I know it's a terrible admission but at least I feel bad about it! :D
 
I don't think Ive ever seen all The Star Wars Movies. I tried to watch the first and found it boring. Also I don't know if they count as classics yet but I have never watched The Lord of The Rings Trilogy. For some reason I have never got around to it.
