Classic Films You Didn't Enjoy

Oh Yeah! I REALLY didnt get this film- I couldnt relate to ANY of the characters and at the end I was thinking "oh just let the silly bint die!!!"

also:

Apocalypse Now- pretentious and overrated.

Godfather: Campy mumbling from Marlon Brando..... Im obviously NOT a fan eh??

Dr Strangelove ...(SORRY!:o) Absolutely DONT GET this film.... why is it so funny???:confused:

btw... Bladerunner is my fav film EVER, although I will concur that it has a very 80's feel... thats forgivable IMO...

Star Wars - i just dont get it also harrison ford acts like he's constipated re: fugitive, what lies beneath etc

Exorcist - first time i watched this i was awaiting this great psychological thriller/horror and what did i get? crap makeup and an old dude having a heart attack

Dark Knight - i know its not a "classic" but it was hyped to be the best of the batman series so far but to me it was a pile of wank :( i dont think it would've received half the notoriety if heath ledger hadnt "accidentally" took all those pills n died

Gone With The Wind - Thats 4 hours I'll never get back same with Ben Hur and all those "holy classics" like the ten commandments and that one with Liz Taylor n Richard Burton :S

Blair Witch Project - again, not another "classic" but for the time it came out it was new but again it bored the chebs off me n i fell asleep in the flicks watching it

one film i do rate highly tho is Saving Private Ryan, war movies usually bore the chebs off me but when i saw this one in the flicks i was totally gob-smacked during the whole thing :D

(ps sorry for the mega-use of "these" i am not a ****** lol)

The Wicker Man. How anyone doesn't crease themselves laughing when he's singing those hymns as he's about to burn is beyond me. This was surely a comedy? It's embarrassingly awful on every level. Sorry Edward, RIP and all that but this was crap.

Taxi Driver. Overrated crap. I found De Niro's character about as unnerving and intimidating as Cybill Shepherd.

A Clockwork Orange. All I saw was a gang of immature dullarRAB speaking in the worlRAB most embarrassing palare for 2 hours. GROW UP.

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. Eternal shite of the highest order more like.

Reservoir Dogs. Torture isn't funny or cool in any shape or form, Quentin. Grow up, there's a good chap.

Slumdog Millionaire. Yeah, he'd get all the answers right drawing from his own experiences in a Delhi slum, of course he would. Yeah.

Gran Torino. A Yank Alf Garnett with guns. Tedious.

Braveheart. Did Hans Christian Andersen produce?

Scarface. Say hello to my liddle fwend. Yeah ok pal...

Gone With the Wind has to be the longest, most boring, uninteresting garbage ever made, for me.

Bruce Lee films really bore me too.

And 2001, a space odyssey

Snozzcumber - I cant agree with you about The Evil Dead. This is one of the funniest films I know. The scene where all the cut off limbs are twitching across the floor has me roaring.

A.I. Artificial Intelligence was also dreadful, although I dont think you could call it a classic anyway.

Apocalypse Now - Good till Brando appears then I cant understand a word, he just rambles on about nothing.

Eraserhead - Tried to watch it 3 times and still have not got further than 30 mins - have not got a clue what it's about, it's like having a bad acid trip.

Gone with the Wind, Amadeus, Raging Bull, Vertigo and Apocalypse Now were all a struggle for me: definitely one-time only.

Blade Runner is something that I desperately want to like but every time I put it on the boredom just somehow creeps up on me.

I was about to turn off The Deer Hunter just when it seemed the wedding was the entire plot, but then they got to Vietnam and I was pleased I stayed with it.

Subtitled films used to be something of a turn-off regardless of their content until I discovered Jean de Florette and its sequel, Manon des sources. I treat them as one film since they form a complete story and they still make my all-time top ten. :)
