Classic Films That You've Never Seen

You should watch all those, except don't bother with Forest Gump.

Mine are
Gone with the Wind
Mary Poppins
Mrs Doubtfire
Grease
Dirty Dancing - but I HAVE stayed in the resort where it was set, and then bought the DVD but haven't watched it yet.
A Streetcar Named Desire and On the Waterfront
Ben Hur - although I want to see it just to find out whether there really is a Ferrari in the background in the chariot race scene.

Films I've never seen or ever had a desire to see -

Citizen Kane
Gone With The Wind
The Sound Of Music
Wizard Of Oz
A Streetcar Named Desire

None of the Star Wars, Terminator, Harry Potter, Lord Of The Rings, Rocky, Batman, Star Trek or Rambo films or any in that genre.

I have never seeen

1. The Godfather (I seen the beginning and it did look good, but never got the chance to see the rest)
2. Citizen Kane
3. Gone with the Wind
4. The Shawshank Redemption
5. All of Alfred Hitchock films, but i did see and got on dvd Psycho but everything else of his i have not seen
6. Memento
7. Taxi Driver (Jodie Foster)
8. Apocalypse Now
9. Chinatown
10. Singin' in the Rain

I've seen most of these, exception of Bambi and The Sound of Music.

I've never seen ET, Some Like It Hot and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (if the third Indiana movie can be counted as a classic on its own).

I must be some kind of TV freak because I've seen every film mentioned so far *except* for "What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?" and I've seen some of that, but was never able to stick it out til the end.

Oh God. The Films people talk about all the time, I have to pipe up with, nope never seen it. I have over 70 films on DVD and watch films all the time but there are so many classics that don't appeal to me as well as some I just haven;t got round to seeing yet(the Breakfast club would be on this list but when I turn the computer off I'm away to watch it, got it on dvd today.

Godfather trilogy
Batman 1(seen the rest)
Grease
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Dirty Dancing
Citizen Kane
Casablanca
Gone with the Wind
Ben Hur
Monty Python Films
Pulp Fiction(want to see that)
Kill Bills
Shawshank Redemption
Green Mile
The Sound of Music
there are many many more

Basically everything already said except for the Rocky's, they are my fave films.

Of the old classics, Casablanca and On The Waterfront spring to mind.
I have also never seen (avoided) all of the Rocky and Godfather films, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and both of the Kill Bills.

Birth of a Nation

Gone with the Wind

The Maltese Falcon

The Third Man

Lawrence of Arabia

Magnificent 7

Dr Strangelove

Chinatown

Deliverance

etc etc

Hype can effect a film. It affected casablanca for me

But imo Gdfather is every bit as good as the hype suggests. Absolutely loved it

Godfathers and Citizen Kane I have yetto see - I hang my head in shame!
Tried to watch Star Wars but I'm afraid I was left cold and thought my life is too short"!
To those of you who have not seen Shawshank or Gone with the Wind - do yourself a favour - get a bottle of red a family size Cadburys bar and enjoy!
